Cables floating

Operating technique

The floating is based on the same principle as the jetting but in which the air is replaced by a liquid which is also injected at high pressure.
The floating consists in pushing a cable in a plastic tube HDPE by injecting simultaneously a liquid.
The floating uses water as liquid in all types of HDPE pipes of various diameters (Ø 33 - 40 – 50 - 61) as well as in the tubes of Ø 12 which is the new generation for microfiber installation.
The purpose of this technique is to put cables of big length and to go always farther      (4 000 - 10 000 m) in a single operation. This is to avoid a large part of civil works and linking, and thus to reduce the implementation costs.
The installed cable is subjected only to few mechanical constraints during the installation and keeps no residual tension after the installation.
